ICCB-Longwood Screening Facility (HMS)

Core Summary:

The ICCB-Longwood Screening Facility provides resources and assistance for designing, conducting, and interpreting high-throughput chemical and siRNA screens. ICCB-Longwood is staffed by full-time personnel with expertise in lab automation, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, microbiology, HTS microscopy, and data analysis. The facility employs a staff-assisted screening model, in which investigators using the facility are provided with access to compound and siRNA libraries, and training in the use of some instruments, such as liquid handling equipment, plate readers, and screening microscopes. Staff members provide assistance at all stages of the screening process and perform complex automation steps.

    ICCB-Longwood provides full-genome human and mouse siRNA and miRNA mimic and inhibitor libraries and staff assistance for designing, conducting, and interpreting high-throughput RNAi screens. Please note that ICCB-L provides RNAi reagents only within the context of a high-throughput screen and does not supply individual siRNAs or miRNAs or subsets of siRNAs or miRNAs for other purposes.

  • Small molecule screening service

    The ICCB-Longwood Screening Facility provides small molecule libraries and staff assistance for designing, conducting, and interpreting high-throughput chemical screens. The ICCB-Longwood compound collection is continuously growing, and over 500,000 compounds are currently available for screening. Please note that ICCB-Longwood provides small molecule reagents only within the context of a high-throughput screen and does not supply individual compounds or subsets of compounds for other purposes.
