The mission of the bioinformatics core at Joslin is to provide and support computational data analysis for molecular biology, genomics, proteomics and translational science. we provide software tools and expertise in the integration and analysis of Biomedical data. The core intends to support all users, from novices to informatics experts.

  • Access and licenses to microarray analysis tools
  • Data integration using large compute cluster for compute intensive tasks
  • HPCC facility and infrastructure
  • In house tools for analyzing genomic expression data and pipeline to support the Proteomics group
  • Pathway analysis tools
  • Sequence manipulation, vector design, and alignment software
  • Statistical software including SAS, STATA, S-plus, MatLab
Services:
  • Custom development of analysis tools and pipelines

  • Identify solutions for large data manipulation and analysis

  • Microarray data analysis or using available microarray analysis tools

  • Provide training and advice on the usages of bioinformatics tools, statistical software including SAS, STATA, S-plus, R, and Python, websites, databases, and other bioinformatics software packages

  • Statistical support in study design and analyses in clinical trials, observational studies or biological experiments
